Survey request - Teaching Justice

I am writing a book entitled Teaching Justice: Solving Social Justice Problems through Teaching which will detail the experiences, approaches, challenges and successes of professors who teach about justice in general, social justice and activism in the college classroom.

I hope to discover how you are integrating criminal justice topics into a larger social justice perspective; specifically, I hope to learn your perspectives on student apathy and your methods of engaging students on justice issues via "service learning" approaches. In order to gain as broad a range of views and practices as possible, I am surveying the membership of national and international criminal justice and criminology organizations and/or divisions within those organizations.

Please use the following link to participate in a short survey:

http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/KP722HN

I plan to share the findings of this project at the ASC meeting in Toronto.

Thank you,

Kristi Holsinger, Ph.D.

Site update

The web hosting service formerly used for critcrim.org was recently sold to a larger company. Problems began immediately. For a brief period this site was unavailable. Moving to another server has provided an opportunity to update the site. Some features have changed and others will be added as the upgrade process continues. As always, please post announcements of interest to the critcrim community.

Dear Friends and Colleagues: This is a friendly reminder to renew your DCC and ASC membership dues if you have not done so already. Note that you will not be eligible to vote on ASC or DCC matters if you have not paid your dues. Best, Walter DeKeseredy
